About
This recording offers in particular a selection of unpublished arias by Arturo Toscanini (preserved in the historical archives of the conservatory), written during his years as a composition student under maestro Giusto Dacci in Parma in the mid-1880s. It also presents works by Dacci, Ildebrando Pizzetti and Gustavo Campanini.
This repertoire is of extreme interest both for the novelty of the works themselves and for the unexpected European atmosphere which emerges from this music.
World Premiere Recording.
